The Commuter * *

There seems to be a bit of a collaboration building up between Liam Neson and director Jaume Collet-Serra.  Unfortunately their work together is not showing a mature development.
In fact The Commuter brings things down a long way after the more interesting Run All Night.
The Commuter is an irritatingly stupid story so full of plot holes and so lacking in believablility you begin to feel insulted and bored.
Something has been "Taken" from this plot
Neeson plays an insurance salesman commuting home when he is given a message that he must solve a problem and must perform a particular action or his kidnapped wife and kid or gonna "Get it".
He believes the message and acts accordingly (whereas most rational people would say "F...off!", call the guard to hold the ransomer under arrest and have the cops meet you at the next station).
The reasons given as to why he doesn't respond like this are as illogical as everything else in this very silly story which gets worse and worse and then tries to make things up to us with a heap-big crash.
Despite the good company (I do actually like Liam Neeson) - there is also Sofia Vergara, Sam Neil, and Patrick Wilson, but nothing helps to salvage this train wreck.
