The Red Pill * * * *
The Red Pill is a documentary that Palace were going to show last November but changed their mind when they were presented with 2700 signatures objecting to it. They were since presented with 8000 signatures requesting that they do show it. But maybe Palace figured if the 2700 signatories who objected are like some of the violent, ugly, bat-crazy protesters seen in this film it’s probably not worth the risk.

The Red Pill is a documentary made by Cassie Jaye. She did a documentary a couple of years ago on the rights of gay parents. That one was a lot more warmly received.
A confident feminist herself, in The Red Pill Cassie Jaye turns her attention to Men's Rights Groups. A lot of feminists didn’t like what she discovered, which is that many men who are members of these groups have legitimate grievances.
If one has concerns with the subject matter I'd have thought it more persuasive to watch the documentary and then present your argument against it rather than trying to have it shut down.
If it was a film of hate cooked up by some crazy misogynistic men I’d understand this reaction. But it is actually a very intelligent independent documentary which invites contributions from feminists and academics. It is balanced, and extremely well done. All content aside, it is one of the better documentaries I have seen in some time. Going by the quality of this, Cassie Jaye is a very fine maker with a promising future.
Despite the reluctance of distributors willing to take it on, if you want to see it you can do so by going to the website theredpillmovie.com
