Missing * * *
This film wasn't really my thing but I have to acknowledge its inventiveness. It was probably made quite economically too because most of the action takes place in one room, or perhaps I should say on one computer screen, which we are staring at a lot of the time.

June with twenty open windows. |
June's widowed Mum had recently met a new guy. Mum and her new boyfriend have gone away for a week in Colombia. Teenage June stays home to "looks after" the house and study, which June interprets as "Party!" Of course!
Arrangements are already in place for June to pick up Mum from the airport and she has it in her diary. But Mum doesn't turn up at the airport. Then June learns Mum wasn't even on the flight. What's going on?
Returning home she starts her detective work by contacting the hotel Mum and boyfriend stayed at and when they checked out. June soon has some amazing results regarding Mum's new boyfriend and what happened to June's natural father. During the unfolding drama June makes a connection with a guy in Colombia who is kind enough to help her along with the FBI etc.
It's a good tense drama which certainly deserves recognition. It dishes up plenty of twists and surprises, but after a while I just found all this tech stuff more frustrating than exciting. We do get away from it a couple of times, but even then we are mostly watching the action through CCTV security cams etc.
After watching June crack passwords and hack into emails for two hours I felt like I'd had an overdose on the internet and being in front of a computer screen, which is probably why I can't wait to finish this review and go read a book or go for a walk or something.
