Guns for sale! Anyone want to buy some guns?
Some people say this film is full of moral turpitude, and I can see where they are coming from.
But I can also see where these boys are coming from.
I mean, if the democratically elected Government wants to buy guns and ammunition - and they are going to buy guns and ammunition no matter what - then you might as well be the supplier - especially if there is a few million dollars to be made.
Based on a true story, the Government of America, embarrassed by an exposure of favoured suppliers, decided that everything should go to open tender - including guns and ammunition for the military.
A couple of ambitious stoner guys decided to get in on the action.
Beyond price there did not seem to be much scrutiny of suppliers and the lads soon found themselves winning contracts and running guns from dubious sources.
Then came the big one - a huge contract for Afghanistan.
This is both a funny and disturbing film.
Is the man who supplies the gun any worse than the man who orders the gun or the man who uses the gun?  I don’t think so.  But unsurprisingly the boys learn a different set of rules apply to the suppliers than the other two.
