Iris and The Men * * *

Men - now available |
It's a story which we've all heard before. Attractive woman in a long term marriage but feeling sexually unfulfilled. In this film we learn she and her husband haven't had sex for four years. So she decides to take advantage of the new dating hook-up sites that are all over the internet to see what happens.
What happens is that she finds herself inundated with offers. She soon discovers that being a good mum and wife and efficiently running her dental practice whilst playing the field is not easy.
The trouble is, this new game takes priority. It's the experience Iris desperately needs. Must have!
So she lies to her husband, to her colleagues at work, to her patients and spends far too much time looking at her screen and responding to lusty inane messages.
She does get her rocks off and feels better for it but she is also changing her values. Whether that's for the better or not is something we have to figure out. Either way, it's gives us a happy ending with a very telling final scene.
It's fairly lightweight. Ironically, I thought Antoinette in the Cevennes was going to be a bit of fluff and I thought this was going to be a more thoughtful film. Both are the opposite to what I had anticipated.
