Jurassic World Dominion * *

They obviously put so much work and money into this I felt it might be mean to give it the one or two stars it deserves.  Conversely it would be irresponsible to give it more, in case they make another one - I mean, that's what happened last time!

Why are we even doing this?
Jurassic Dominion has got a bit of a James Bond structure about it: Madman wants to take over the world.  He lives and works in an isolated enormous building with awesome technology and staffed by hundreds of loyal but intimidated staff.

The team have to bring this bloke down!

The team are Doctors Sattler, Malcolm and Grant (Laura, Sam and Geoff) from the original Jurassic Park, thirty years ago, the "new" Jurassic Park Guy, Owen, his girlfriend Claire, a Cloned girl and a couple of others.

Unfortunately, like one of it's convincing looking diplodocuses it plods. Sure there is plenty of action but we just seem to plod from one visually spectacular scene to the other. The drama is puerile, as is much of the dialogue.

By the time you're half way through it you're bored.  You also become impatient.  I won't go on about the ridiculous implausibility of most of the situations as air crashes are survived, falling into frozen lakes and  getting out in a freezing environment, and walking off like it's a summers day - not to mention altercations with dinosaurs.

Then there's the dinosaurs fighting each other - and boy do they get it on! But, you know, you've seen it all before.  The original Jurassic Park was about something that should not have been brought back to life.  And that's pretty well what this film is.
