Late Night * * *
Late Night is a quaint film with a scenario that we've seen many times before. Famous, arrogant, hard nose bitch boss, takes on a dowdy new staff member who turns out to be the one that shines.
This time it's in the world of Television and Emma Thomson is very good as the late night TV show host who is slowly losing her ratings.
Under advice she demands a female be recruited to the writing team. So the producer gives the job to the first applicant. She is shunned by the all male writing team but, by using honest and crazy ideas (that everyone else is scared to suggest) she slowly wins them over along with her fierce boss.
A simple but very forgettable story with a fair share of good lines.
