The Heiresses * *

One review I read about this said something like:  "The results achieved here are all the more remarkable when you learn it is the work of a first-time filmmaker, coaching actors who have spent most of their careers in live theatre."  Yeah well that was pretty obvious.  First time director/screen writer, actors who didn't know WTF they were doing in front of the camera.  Have to be one of the most over rated, suffocatingly dull movies, I have seen this year.  I think it's popularity is built on cultural cringe and not much else - "Oh, i'ts from Paraguay (hardly anything comes from Paraguay) so I guess it must be good.  My inability to understand it must simply come from my culture.  I'll pretend I do, I'll pretend that the symbolism of showing the decay of the wealthy actually means something to me."
Let's get boring. Count me in!
Oh Purleeeze!  Send it back to where it came from. It's no good to us, well not unless you're a pretentious wanker.       It features a couple of old ladies who act like lesbians.  One goes to jail (actually prison in Paraguay doesn't look too bad). The other uses their old Mercedes to drive her friends around for a couple of months. Sort of like a private taxi driver.  She meets a younger and hotter woman who gets drunk and rolls around on her bed. Nothing comes it.  Old lover comes out of jail. The end.
